A. I loved that you set this in my feral hometown. It's hellish and terrifying here, but it's mine.

B. It's a fantastic story, Tim!! And it fits the prompt so well. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I’m from LA too, but I live in NY now. I actually couldn’t tell if the pic was NY or LA. I’ve never seen a highway like that in NY, but it seems like too many buildings for LA. The third option is somewhere fictional because it’s difficult to see precisely where it is.

Thank you for reading and commenting!!

I really liked this—your vivid description of the transformation made me feel every moment of that intense struggle between human and beast. It’s raw, powerful, and beautifully captures the tension of losing control while discovering a fierce new strength.

Fast paced and electrifying transformation, your writing captures the agony and power of becoming something primal.

The werewolf feels like a metaphor for identity rupture in modern chaos.

Raw, cinematic, and hauntingly poetic. Loved the moonlit ferocity.

Thanks for sending to me.

I subscribed, great stuff

"My life as a beast was inconvenient" -- such a devastating line, that really stays with you!

& the transformation happening in full view of the freeway while nobody stops; that image says everything about being completely undone in a city that just keeps moving -- felt this deeply as someone who's always lived in major cities

Kudos Tim! the opening paragraph alone had me hooked!

Nice Werewolf. For some reason Substack would not show me the picture prompt.

Strange. The pic was glitching for me earlier as well. I'm not really sure why that is…Thank you so much for reading this!
